Plumbing Apprenticeships in Arkansas have much of the same requirements that other states have.  Generally speaking, you’ll first need to meet age and education requirements, and then move on to finding an apprenticeship program, which we will help you with.

Once you locate a apprenticeship sponsor or plumbers union that is willing to take you on, you’ll need to meet those specific program requirements in order to fullfil your agreement.  Once you take the journeyman’s plumbing exam and pass it, you’ll be a certified plumber in the state of Arkansas.  But, first thing’s first…

Arkansas Plumbing Apprenticeship Requirements

These are some general requirements for entry into the apprenticeship program…

  • No written exam requirement for entry
  • Must be 18 Years of Age
  • High School Graduate or proof of GED completion
  • Proficiency in Math (Algebra and Geometry)

Arkansas Apprenticeship Program Information

Duration: 4 Year Apprenticeship Program which equates out to approximately 2000 hours per year in on-the-job training.
Technical Course Requirements: 160 classroom hours per year
Other Requirements: Must be working directly under the instruction and supervision of a certified master plumber
